Michael
Clark‘s Stravinsky Project – O, set to Apollon Musagète,
Mmm ... set to The Rite of Spring, and I Do set to Les Noces – was
created over three years in a collaboration with the Barbican to produce
a trilogy of works to seminal dance scores by Stravinsky.
Presented over two evenings as part of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival,
the Project celebrates the marriage between classicism and modernism,
tradition and innovation – a marriage that is at the very heart
of Stravinsky’s music and Clark’s choreography. The Apollon
Musagète and Les Noces scores are performed live by Britten Sinfonia.
This will be the first time the entire Stravinsky Project has been performed
outside London.

vigorous, at times beautiful paean to the eroticism and infinite possibilities
of the human form’ The Daily Telegraph
